Raising stringers
« on: April 25, 2024, 03:37:44 PM »
I am considering raising my stringers a few inches so I can slope the deck towards the transom. I was wondering who had done that and how it worked out for you. Does anyone have some advice?

When I rewrite the manual, if I ever actually get the time, I'm going to suggest that the cockpit deck be raised 1-1/2 to 2 inches where it meets the transom and 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 inches where it meets the aft pilot house bulkhead.

I raised and tapered mine down toward the transom.  It?s nice to never have water standing on deck.

No standing water on the deck sounds good.

I will raise my stringers what you recommend, Brian.
