Fall Hunting
« on: October 27, 2023, 12:33:43 PM »
Hit a spectacular weather window and headed West from Juneau for a week. Able to harvest 8 nice Blacktail. Boat was a dream to cruise the 250 or so miles we went, very comfortable at anchor despite freezing temperatures and served as an excellent hunting platform. My fuel efficiency remained 1.7 nm per gallon despite 8 deer on the back deck. At night the boat was warm and comfortable and unlike aluminum boats there was no condensation with 3 of us on board cooking gourmet meals. I am trusting the boat much more in rough seas. Appreciate how you can back off the throttle and still remain on step at 14KTs.
