Hello from Texas
« on: January 25, 2020, 02:18:10 PM »
Hello all,
I was considering a Tolman Jumbo when I found the Great Alaskan. I ordered the plans. I believe it will be a better fit for me to use in the Gulf. I want to use the OXE 175hp diesel.

Welcome aboard!  What length are you thinking of building?  Will your boat live on a trailer between trips, or in a slip?

There's one in the Bahamas, which I'm sure gets over into the Gulf of Mexico, but I don't know who owns it or how to get ahold of them ... There's probably a post in the forums about it somewhere, but I'm not spotting it at the moment.  I know this boat got damaged by a hurricane, but it was minimal ... survived in great shape overall and fixed easily:

You should start a new thread on that topic.... I can point to the thread from our FaceBook page too.  Should get plenty of feedback from people...
