I have twice blown the 150amp fuse in the battery box.  At least I know the fuse will blow before the bow eye is jerked from the stem.  Both times was boat on trailer and slight uphill tug.   This thing is strong!  I’m glad I found out the way I did as I don’t really want to push the battery any harder

Sounds like you need to spray those bunks down with some silicon!

That isn’t a bad idea, I don’t know how long it would last.

Keep a can in the truck and just give the bunks a quick spray right before hauling the boat back out of the water.

I tried the silicone on my front alignment bunks and it helped.  I was able to hit the brakes in the parking lot to slide the boat up tight to the eye.  My trailer was built by "Tuff trailer "  and so far so good.

The silicon spray has made a world of difference for me. I gouged the keel on the front bunks the first time I pulled it with my new trailer, so got a can and spray the front of the front bunks down while I am locking up before I get underway. Pulling it now has been at most a firm crank and no more damage to the fairbody.

The Sherpa is awesome.  FWIW I am using a 150A fuse.  It will blow if you try to tug the boat uphill with no water under it.  I will try the silicone trick
