Pursuit repair
« on: May 25, 2020, 05:54:14 PM »
So I pulled up the removable section over the fuel tank in my pursuit 2470. Expecting to find a little rot, but I may need to do a complete rebuild of it.

The rectangular hatch was cut in poorly but the reason is what boggles the mind a little..... it was to replace the batteries easier! 🤯

I did stumble onto this today at the local lumber yard where I do business, this is 3/4” had 3 footballs on the front face and only 5 voids along the edge with the pic being the largest.

No face stamp.

I had then go ahead and order 3 sheets of 1/2” as well. Be good to have on hand.

It's pinkish ... I'm voting for Douglas Fir.  Either way, it'll be great for your purposes.

Thank you Brian! Even if it’s not perfect this boat is just to make due til I build what I want.....

It’s an old pursuit with a new engine and a nice trailer and good Raymarine bottom machine I picked up the whole package for $12,500 so I really can’t complain! We just like to bust snapper and stuff out to 30 miles or son the GOM. Gonna order my GA plans tonight. Still thinking the kodiak.

Right on!  Most of the plans sales lately have been for the Kodiak ... you're in good company :D
