Title: Lobster boat vid - interesting bow shape in a sea trial
Post by: Ed Snyder on April 01, 2016, 07:39:30 AM
Cruising the ewetube today came across this vid of a Lobster boat on what looks to be designers or builders sea trial, the hull looks to be a semi-displacement type and the vid shows an interesting bow shape and the way it looks to cut through that bow wave.

One post saying -
"this boat itself it has a 315hp daewoo and maxes out at 20 knots cruise at 15-16"

But the helm has a twin throttle control....

I'd be worried about that because the keel extends so far forward  (though it is small ), that this hull would want to broach down swell.

Yes always a potential area of concern.
As you say, it's not a big area, interesting ride though.....
