Ed's Prince Rupert
« on: April 26, 2010, 11:18:46 PM »
 8) We're a couple of NZ ex-pats now in Perth Australia, building the Prince Rupert, to 28 ft. Started Apr 2010 hope of launch Dec 2010.
We like boats, fishing the Indian Ocean on our door step, Perth has 30 Km of beautiful beaches here, 3 mths rain season - 6 mths great weather and 3 mths too hot!

Always waiting for glue to set, akin to watching grass grow, paint dry etc, otherwise she'd be a faster build.
Got to beat the wet season next mth, hull turned over and glassed, then I can leave her and start the interior joiner work in modules in the garage, spray finish etc, already to fit when the decks and cabins built, faired & painted.
Looking at teak or oriko for the floors and deck, $1500 here, + Sikaflex etc be closer to 2.5k, paint's starting to look good!
