Did anyone add the Oil and Garbage placards?  Carbon monoxide ones are available free at dmv licensing. (Wa state)

I had a USCG inspection when I was launching one day, not by an officer but by an inspector to see if I was in compliance so that if I wasn't I could avoid a ticket, and this was one of 2 things that I was not in compliance about (the other was expired flares). I am still meaning to go down to west marine and buy a placard, I became less eager after reading about people being inspected on the water and the coast guard officer just handing them one when they didn't have it. I should probably get that done still haha.

I thought those requirements were only for boats being used commercially, like a charter or passenger boat/taxi, that personal boats don't qualify?

The cut off (unless I am mistaken) is 26'  Not a big deal just another 12.99 at West Marine.

I attached the doc:

I have them both. Not sure what the giveaway ones look like, but mine are sturdy with holes predrilled at corners. I used 3M two sided tape.

Another option is West Marine, although the 3rd decal we do not need.

I’m surprised that there is not a mandate on the color of the decal.

That's interesting, I did a coast guard inspection and the placards never came up and I definitely do not have them. My understanding is that outboard boats without a generator do not need the oil placard because we do not have an enclosed machinery space. The garbage placard is required on recreational and commercial boats over 26 ft. Why they let me pass on the garbage placard is a mystery to me.
