Can you post the total cost of you install?

You say it worked well? Have you ever used a bow thruster before? How does it compare to your past experience?

3
Do you have a link on those thrusters, such a cool design. Can?t wait to see how the work

4
Make sure they vent both ends of the tank if you have one built.

General Discussion about the Great Alaskan / Re: Knife valves for scuppers?

I love the idea. Can?t wait to see it implemented

I am thinking about adding solar. I currently have a battery charger on board for when I?m in port or at home which keeps my starter and house batteries topped off. When I add solar, is there any concern with having the solar charging the battery?s at the same time at the charger. In other words should I only use one at a time.

Introductions - Are you new here? Say hello! / Re: Cruising focused GA 30

Sounds like you?re on the same path I took. Was convinced for years I was building a Delvin black crown until I came across Brian?s boat. I rented a black crown several times from Sam and loved it. It was a very heavy boat. The great Alaskan is much more lighter and responsive in comparison. For me I made the rights choice. Devlins are very cool also

General Discussion about the Great Alaskan / Dry decking

I recently found this decking on Amazon and really like it. It?s a lot cheaper the dry deck and is an outstanding product

I agree with Brian and Dan. All the faring and sanding is over the top and going to make a beautiful boat. Love the boat

General Discussion about the Great Alaskan / Re: extended swim platform

Only thing I would have done different is to slope the back deck to the rear 1 to maybe 1 1/2 inches. I enjoy this boat so much. Have thought about building a new one but don?t want to get off the water to do it. Just been upgrading a few things so I can spend more time on it.

I love your idea. I also extended and put in a tuna door. Makes getting on the boat easy, from the dock or out of water

General Discussion about the Great Alaskan / Paint touch up
« on: June 05, 2024, 08:03:22 AM »
Looking for a little advise. Thinking about putting some fresh paint on the rear deck area. I painted with alexseal . My question is while I?m repainting I was thinking of faring a few areas that I didn?t get smooth the first time around. How far do I  need to sand down to fix these spots ? Can I just use an automotive filler and then paint. Thoughts?

Very nice

Fortunately my tank builder was smarter then I am, he put a vent on both ends. Never had an issue.
