Just a few tips on getting shapes to cut to fit ina boat that's not anywhere square - by design of course.
Using core-flute - signs are made of, and a cheap hot melt (glue) gun. Core-flute can be used often, snap it apart, glue doesn't stick very well forever.

Nice idea!  Sure beats cutting up scrap ply (that might've been used for something useful) and drywall screws...
