Steering question
« on: February 04, 2019, 08:51:48 PM »
Do most people just use a standard steering cable or use hydraulic steering? Might be a dumb question, I’m a woodworker not much of a mechanic.

Most use hydraulic steering, typically BayStar or SeaStar ... the SeaStar is definitely more robust and also allows a second steering station to be installed - just in case you decide on that now or in the future.  I wouldn't think twice about buying a SeaStar steering kit.  On a boat this size, I'd avoid cable steering and would choose to enjoy the luxury of the hydraulic steering instead.
